This installation was first presented in London during the Frieze Art Fair
at the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank and then in Milan, in Piazza Gae Aulenti during the Design Week – Fuori Salone.

Two imposing red and blue futuristic sculptures recall the British flag and were positioned among the millions of passers-by who cross the Thames every day on that stretch of road that links the Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern to the Hayward Gallery and the London Eye.

In Milan, in the new raised Piazza Gae Aulenti, the red one became the protagonist and symbol of the recent transformation of the city, in this innovative centre of the Garibaldi area.

The work, inspired by the design and characteristics of the new Discovery Sport, designed by Gerry McGovern, represents the fusion of art and automotive design.

Over seven metres high, in steel and fibreglass Mustica’s sculpture reinterprets the typical themes of his poetry: space, time, energy and dynamism.

In both the locations the installation was able to fit in perfectly with the buildings of the two cities, becoming part of their lived fabric but always communicating in its own way, inserted into the context of urban language.
