This is a multiple installation on show in Bali in the Gaya Art Space Gardens which channels the symbolic meanings pertaining to religion and rituals of the cultural tradition of the place, and recalls the towers of Babel, verticality and life force.

To give body and life to Totems, Mustica engaged with the history and context of the place and the lifestyle of the people who inhabit it.
Numerology has good reason to be linked to these 11 entities: 6 metres high for the 9 aspects of God, another 2 for the Earth and the void, each consisting of 33 levels for the 33 million deities in the Pantheon of Hindu Vedas.

In this culture the recycled colours and materials in this work represent a multitude of meanings: glass, transparency; water, life; bamboo, flexibility; wood, land; flowers, smell; fabrics, colours; iron, strength; white pottery, completeness; coloured pottery, diversity; coconut leaves, nature; stone, the memory of the earth.

Inside, the Gallery houses the collection of paintings. In the works Rejang Dance and Legong Dancer Mustica has created two dazzling paintings that pay homage to the movements of Balinese dancers, depicting the rhythmic and repetitive nature
of their actions and the expressive gestures of their hands.
